At least that's what it looks like to me. In truth it is the major east-west highway in the state that's been closed since Monday evening. It's not going to be opened today. They are doing avalanche control/blasting and plowing again today. Even for up there, 53 inches of snow in two days is a lot.
The dentist office called yesterday and rescheduled my appointment for 3 weeks from now. Yet here, today, the roads are bare & wet and very passable. It's just adds more insult to injury that I cancelled my appointment last Wednesday because I was afraid of the snow. Then, that day was perfectly fine.

We didn't get any snow here either, although the threat of snow was enough to empty the shelves in the grocery store.

Yes. One can never be sure if that's where Chuck is. He is like a human version of the uncertainty principle. He may be there, or elsewhere.

Paul taught me all about being elusive. Being there – or elsewhere is crucial since I fired Fox in my last duty assignment when I took over the FSA after they downgraded the post to a Colonel. Then they hired him back after I left, and now the uncertainty principle is my means of survival.

Since Bruce mentioned empty store shelves, I have to share this story from last Friday in Seattle. It's not unique except for one thing down near the bottom. And of course Seattle did get snow.
https://www.seattlepi.com/seattlenews/article/Combat-shopping-Mayhem-at-Seat...
Kalin threaded her experience at Freddie's, noting one brave man who stood in line with just one item: A bouquet of flowers
I can't help but wonder about the man buying a single bouquet of flowers in advance of a major storm. Was he a romantic taking flowers to his lover? Was it a wife/husband or an illicit affair? Was he visiting a sick friend in a hospital? Was someone he loved/cared for dying? Was he simply trying to brighten the day of a neighbor? Was he visiting an elderly person in a nursing home or otherwise unable to get out?
I can't get "flower guy" out of my head.
