And here's a list of activities for a week in Southwest Florida for newbies. The planetarium and manatees, Skyspace, Edison laboratory, and the Circus Museum are awesome! Wouldn't necessarily do them all, but you get the idea. Oh yeah, there's also the beach and sunset picnic BBQs. Chris, the guy who set up the observatory and did the presentations at Starview, wrote one of the planetarium presentations.

One year I had to tuck in all the tropical plants with blankets for the night, or they would die. "Sleep tight, but no, you don't get a good night kiss!"
Open invite to anyone wanting a reprieve for a week or so!

Around 33 here in PDX...about as cold as it ever gets here. 75 sounds pretty nice right about now! And I'll be back in UT later this week. At least the new Adobe building in Lehi has a fireplace! :)

No, you're absolutely right. Though I was there one time when the oranges were freezing on the trees, usually FL's cold is not a deep nor severe. We're having below average temperatures right now and it's not even getting above 32 in the daytime. It made it difficult to do the birthday suit walk on my birthday that I wanted to do.
25 right now, going to 27....maybe....if we're lucky

Ah, cold is such a relative thing. Would you rather 60 degrees in Florida or something freezing in Washington?? :)
At least it's a change of pace for a week.
71 right now, going to 75 today....
Happy New Year, everyone!

Except I've been cold in Florida! And didn't you just tell me if I wanted to visit nudist resorts near Tampa in February to expect less than stellar weather? :)

I can solve the "hating cold" situation for you. Come on down! <Big grin>
Happy Birthday, Effie! Your parents' planned well, getting a year's tax deduction for one day's existence!

Hi Todd,
Thanks for thinking of me. Other than being cold, it was a good day. Have I ever told you how much I *hate* cold! ;)
