Great read, Bruce!
Amazing to think it's going to last billions of years. No corrosion in interstellar space? Also amazing it has less computing power than the most basic smartphone and uses an 8 track tape deck for data storage.
Nina and I each ordered the 40th Anniversary reproduction of the gold disks from Voyager, as the ultimate Starman memento. They're reproduced on 3 golden vinyl records, playable on an old turntable and come with a book, and some other trinkets, along with a download key for modern playback. Should be arriving any day now.
Sent from my iPhone on the beach 🏝
