What is the July 4 equivalent to "Bah Humbug"?

There are at least a dozen cars parked all around my house. The bombs and exploding fireworks are not yet constant, but give it an hour until full dark and it will be a war zone out there. The smell of sulfer - gun powder - cordite - whatever - is so strong I have to close the windows regardless of how hot it is in the house. I like to listen to the program "Capital Fourth" but the explosions drown it out.

I was late getting home so I didn't get sprinklers set to spray water outside the fence. Sometimes that can deter the idiots getting so close. I do have them set right up against the fence with a little over-spray outside but since cars are parked right up against the fence with their windows left open I dare not do what I'd like to do and wet them down. I'd get shot - or more likely someone would shoot fireworks directly at my house.

I hate this holiday.
