This wasn't geology, it was Effie not wanting to spend time sitting in the RV doing nothing because we had extra time. On our Silver Mine Tour the guide pointed out both this museum and the rail museum. I noticed the Open sign on both. It allowed us the opportunity to see and do something that wasn't rocks.
Since we'd not found, or skipped, or accidentally bypassed, so much of the real geology we were meant to do/see on Thursday, we got to the Gold Mine early enough to do it the day before we'd planned. That meant we could do the silver mine in Wallace first thing. By doing the extra two museums there we actually left town at our originally planned time.
I'd read about the bordello museum but didn't figure I'd get to see it so I was very happy I could do so. I told Bruce that he didn't have to go if he didn't want to. In hindsight, we could have left Wallace early and would have been able to see a geology exhibit at the Missoula Natural History Museum. That probably would have been a better use of our time, but I didn't think of it until it was too late.

Very interesting. The comments, too.
What branch of geology is this?

It was not allowed to take pictures in the Bordello Museum. I was VERY surprised to find this article. As Bruce said in his article, the content of this tour was surprising and very interesting. Perhaps most surprising thing in this article is the picture of the "menu".

The doll lamps you'll see in the pictures were all connected so that if one was knocked over, or turned out, they all went out. It was a sign that a girl was in trouble.
