If it’s too smoky, cloudy, etc., you might have to do what I plan: chase the eclipse until there are clear skies. I can go either direction on I-40, so could cover a lot of ground if necessary. You might end up in Idaho, but it’s worth it, right?

We'll see how it goes. The air quality here has been bad for weeks due to all the fires (mostly in Canada).
For a time it looked like there was going to be a low on the 21st which would have meant rain and clouds, but now it's expected to go farther north.
I'm just wondering how bad the traffic will be in/out of Madras. :/
