I am incredibly saddened to report that Deborah "Deb" Gallagher passed away at her Springfield, Oregon home on February 1, 2017. She was 66. She was a long-time member of Spotlight Starman International and attended several STARMAN FAMILY-CONs over the years. She was also one of the hosts of the two *STARMAN "The Return" Adventure* conventions held here in Portland, Oregon in 1991 and 1995.
Deb did not have a computer for the last several years and I did not know she had an account on Facebook: https://facebook.com/deborah.gallagher.1272 Unfortunately, I know of no way to post messages on her Timeline unless her account can "friend" you first. I'm in touch with her brother Terry and will ask him if anyone monitors her account now, so that those of us who knew her personally can write on her Timeline, and her *many* relatives will know how much Deb will be missed.
Sorry to hear that. I did not know them well, but was pleased to be acquainted with both Deb and June at a couple of Cons years ago. Please pass my condolences to the surviving family.
Nina

I heard from Deb's Aunt Ruby that in lieu of flowers they ask people donate to the Greenhill Humane Society of Eugene, Oregon: *http://tinyurl.com/aeqh7px http://tinyurl.com/aeqh7px*

I met her at several Starman Cons and she was a lovely woman. So sad to hear she passed away. I still have that blue star she gave me once as a gift. It's hanging in my window. Please pass my condolences to her family. Sabine Deininger

I still have the winter hat she knitted for me. And some of the interesting and pretty stones she often gave to her friends if she thought they would like them. :) Deb was always a very never-give-up kind a person, and always excited to do anything she could to help. I am so saddened to hear this news.

I remember Deb on a post-Con trip a number of us took to Santa Barbara one year. She was full of life and so much into Starman. At her urging, we held a small ceremony in the lobby of what was then the Doubletree Hotel, one of the shooting sites in the “Fathers and Sons” episode, where Paul met up with Bill Avery. We also all enjoyed meeting the then occupants of Eric’s house and telling them the history of the place. Deb was particularly delighted. Good times. It’s with deep sadness that I note her passing so young. Please pass my condolences to her family as I am not on Facebook.

Yesterday Space-X launched a Tesla roadster into space with Starman in the driver's seat! Complete with a copy of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, a towel in the glovebox, a "Don't Panic" sign on the dash and Bowie's "Space Oddity" playing on the sound system (in space, no one can hear you sing). Pics in Spaaaace!
So guys, we missed a great opportunity here! We should've lobbied them to play the movie and/or tv soundtrack. ^.^
Congratulations Space-X, on a nearly flawless launch! (the center core didn't make it back in one piece)
