Some of you Star Trek fans or K-12 educators, including homeschoolers, may be interested in this new not for profit space education venture founded by a friend of mine in Portland, OR. It has partnered with the National Space Society as an NSS program, and it already has the endorsement of Rod Roddenberry, several of the Star Trek cast, Buzz Aldrin, broadcaster Hugh Downs and others. Its goal is to launch an orbiter, designed by a public contest, into space for a short period, and then, upon its return, use the orbiter and student projects as part of a traveling space education museum exhibit.
