Good so far. I want everyone to be okay. My wife Jill broke her foot Friday. I drove her to her foot doctor who found a break in one of the biggger foot bones. Then she went into insulin shock and we. She's at home with her foot in a big boot. Saturday she went into insulin shock and I got her out of it. Milford misses his Staman friends or his fans, whatever. Last night I watched, finally, SGT. KABUKIMAN N. Y. P. D. It was a shame when he got his "shazam" wrong and turned into a clown. A message today from Jean Laidig’s outside-NJ family: Still no power/no heat/no landline phone, perhaps not till WED. She was able to get to the pharmacy and while there could recharge her cell phone (tho its connectivity has been very limited) and some batteries.
You’re correct, George, she’s near the Shore, but some very protective hills kept away the brunt of the wind. Thankfully, the tree limbs that came down didn’t damage the house, tho they took out the power lines and threaten the phone line (which can’t be used until there’s electricity again. And yes, the house is down a steep hill, but the slope keeps going aways down to the creek with good drainage, so all’s well on those counts. The worrisome factor now is the lack of heat as the temperatures are dropping, and a new storm is on the way for mid-week. Let’s hope their power’s restored by then.
Glad to hear other StarFolk: Susan, Barbara, Marilyn, Linda, etc. have weathered it all OK.
I keep planning to write a post-SFC message, but just haven’t been able to carve out the time yet. In fact, I need to go pay some bills right now. Thank you to all of you who have written or called to let me know you got home safely.
