Some New Old Stories on the "How Novel" Archive

Hello Everyone, Spotlighter stalwart, Yvette Jessen, who has written numerous Starman stories, some of which originally appeared on Tim Gathercole's Starman fan fiction website and subsequently were converted to our How Novel Archive, recently has been in contact with me to freshen up some of those stories. She's added some summaries and tweaked them as well, and for one story, "Memories of the Past," she so significantly rewrote and embellished the story over the original, that I felt it deserved to be archived as a new story in 2014. Yvette indicated she may contribute some new stories not on the Archive as her time permits, and even hinted at a future crossover where our Starman meets another alien with an even longer history on Earth, who also changes bodies along the way. Personally, I can't wait! In the meantime, enjoy Yvette's kudos garnering Starman universe with this new and improved version of "Memories of the Past" and a few other tweaked stories listed below. She sees Paul on the beach using his sphere and runs away only to meet up with them later. As they share in an adventure, both father and son discover that there are others who are not exactly as they seem and that appearances can oftentimes be deceiving. When Paul discovers that another sphere can be detected in a small town, they meet up with Luna, a young woman who has been carrying these very same feelings for an even longer duration of time. "message in a bottle" Voyagers Golden Records

Been great star watching this week. I took note here that there is a second “Golden Record”! Just wanted to share with the science folks. We haven’t heard an update on the Voyager’s for a spell. Today’s APOD with explaination below about this photo and the Golden Record. Explanation: An alluring night skyscape, this scene looks west across the Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming, USA, Planet Earth. The Snake River glides through the foreground, while above the Tetons' rugged mountain peaks the starry sky is laced with exceptionally strong red and green airglow. That night, the luminous atmospheric glow was just faintly visible to the eye, its color and wavey structure captured only by a sensitive digital camera. In fact, this contemporary digital photograph matches the location and perspective of a well-known photograph from 1942 - The Tetons and The Snake River , by Ansel Adams, renown photographer of the American West. Adams' image is one of 115 images stored on the Voyager Golden Record. Humanity's message in a bottle, golden records were onboard both Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 spacecraft, launched in 1977 and now headed toward interstellar space. Regards, Margie T. Astoria Oregon
