Here is the information on the park. http://www.longbeach.gov/park/parks_and_open_spaces/parks/wardlow_park.asp They do allow BBQ's as long as they are propane. Speaking with a few people, it looks like everyone brings their own food and also a dish to share in a potluck setting if they would like. If you would like to bring photos of Annemarie, that would be lovely. It will be great to have her with us in spirit as well as conversation. We would love to have a time where we can all sit around and tell stories of my Grandma and celebrate her life. And also, if you would like to wear blue that would be lovely too. For some months, I¹ve been working on a post about her and others who are now Among the Stars. Unfortunately due largely to family medical issues -- the message still isn¹t finished, and I really MUST get this info out. Below is a forwarded post I received from Annemarie¹s granddaughter Kris Schomaker (black text). Please note what she says about wearing BLUE! Below that is a repeat posting of the original notice Kris¹s brother Tim Schomaker (red text) sent out the day Annemarie passed (photos mentioned are not included, but watch for more info in that other post I¹m working on). I wish I could get down to Southern Cal, but that¹s just impossible, so I hope some of you all who live in the area will be able to go and honor the life of an amazing woman who did so much in the earliest years of our organization and in the next two decades, plus (more to come on all that).
